About
I’m Colin Simpson and I’m an edublogger. I’m also an Educational Media Designer at Canberra Institute of Technology.
I’m currently undertaking a Masters of Education (ICT in Education) at the Uni of Wollongong and thought this might be a useful way to process the reams of reading involved (a slightly old-fashioned approach in some ways perhaps
) in such a way that I’m able to cherry pick useful quotes and compress the ideas.

Thanks John – I’m glad that my mad ramblings and wholesale quoting (which makes life easier when putting essays together than highlighting a bunch of stuff) is of interest.
It would be interesting to see how things have changed with the course between then and now, given the techological evolution – will try to drop you a line after the assessments season
cheers
Colin

Hi Colin
Thanks! It would be great to meet up and exchange some notes. In 1994 we were beginning to play with mosaic. Not long after that I was responsible for about a dozen web sites around the university.
I look forward to your correspondence.
Cheers
John

Hi Colin,
i have just come across this and think its a brilliant idea for recording thoughts and processing as you wade your way through each course. I would like to set something up like this.
I did have a laugh when I read your comments about heuristics and the audible groan accompanying the thought that you had 4 of them to do! They had a similar effect on me particularly the ones for 915.

Thanks Louise (Mary?) – yeah, I was literally just talking to someone about how useful it has been to be able to grab the juicy quotes and make it all searchable (not to mention copy/pastable
Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
I’ve actually come around a little on heuristics – now that I’ve done a few and found the formula, there’s not really that much too them. (Not sure how educational they actually are but I guess they do help to put some ideas together)
